Heidi Perkins Appointed Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Heidi Perkins as the new Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations for the Stoughton Public Schools, effective July 1, 2023. Mrs. Perkins will be overseeing the business office, as well as providing support and oversight for the maintenance/custodial and food services departments. 

Mrs. Perkins comes to Stoughton with more than 20 years of public school and municipal finance experience. For the past five years, she has served as the Director of Finance & Operations for the Watertown Public Schools, developing and managing a budget similar in size to ours, placing an emphasis on strategizing for long-term financial stability. She also supervised multiple departments and has experience with major school building projects, serving on the Watertown School Building Committee. 

Prior to working in Watertown, Mrs. Perkins was the Director of Budget & Finance for the Wellesley Public Schools, the Assistant Business Manager and Payroll & Human Resources Coordinator for the Dover Sherborn Schools, and the Assistant Town Accountant for the Town of Dover.

Mrs. Perkins holds Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Superintendent & Business Administrator licenses, is a Certified Professional in Human Resources through the Society for Human Resource Management, is a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO), and is a certified Assessor through the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
